London Eye ♥

Dear Diary,

I can`t believe that the weather is like this since October! Well, I do expect it to get worse at some point cause it`s London and it`s winter but until then let`s enjoy whatever the weather brings and explore the amazing city of London.
Today`s destination: London Eye. This breathtaking structure stands a few meters away from Big Ben.
The London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel on the South Bank of the River Thames in London,England. Also known as the Millennium Wheel, its official name was originally the British Airways London Eye, then the Merlin Entertainments London Eye, and since January 2011, the EDF Energy London Eye.
The entire structure is 135 meters tall and when erected in 1999 it was the world's tallest Ferris wheel, the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom with over 3.5 million visitors annually.

The London Eye was designed by architects Frank Anatole, Nic Bailey, Steve Chilton, Malcolm Cook, Mark Sparrowhawk, and the husband-and-wife team of Julia Barfield and David Marks.

I'm in a rush...
Happy Monday guys!
Take care and don`t forget to enjoy yourselves wherever you are.
Until next time,
Tons of kisses*
Litsiana K.

Fighting against the wind at the Shard

 Dear Diary,

I pulled out another Belgian choc from the "weather chocolate box" filled with a windy flavor but the place I chose was worth all that fighting with the wind since the Shard is the right place to be no matter what the weather looks like and whether you want to enjoy a hot beverage or palatable course.
I I went there to treat myself to a cup of tea (love drinking tea!), an alternative cold cup of tea though filled with alcohol and herbs..
I took the lift that goes automatically to 32nd floor in about 6 sec! The view from the Shard is breathtaking and picked a table next to the window so as to have a wonderful view over London. I spotted London Tower and many other buildings that all seemed like ants...!

A little bit more about the Shard.
The Shard, also referred as the Shard of glass or Shard London Bridge is an 87-storey skyscraper in London that forms part of the London Bridge Quarter development. The Shard's construction began in March 2009; it was topped out on 30 March 2012  and inaugurated on 5 July 2012.Practical completion was achieved in November 2012 but its privately operated observation deck, the View from the Shard, opened to the public on 1 February 2013. Standing approximately 306 meters high, the Shard is currently the tallest building in the European Union. It is the second-tallest free-standing structure in the United Kingdom, after the concrete tower at the Emley Moor transmitting station.  It was designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano, and replaced Southwark Towers, a 24-storey office block built on the site in Southwark in 1975.

I want to thank Streetcoquette https://www.facebook.com/streetcoquette for approaching me whilst browsing around H&M and asking me if she could snap a pic of me. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=514097435354275&set=a.466329800131039.1073741833.465351396895546&type=1&theater

Choose the best place and enjoy your coffee, tea or drink
and never forget to be surrounded by those you love and love you back...!
Take care and I`ll be back soon.

"The arc of a rainbow" in Neal`s Yard

Dear Diary,

It`s been a while since the last post, but I had to deal with deadlines and get used to the new semester that has already began but I am so excited about it cause everything is brand new;new teachers, new modules, new input... !

The weather in London is like a box of chocolate; you don`t know if it`s gonna be a rainy day or a sunny one. But the last week, it`s a Belgian choc and I had to take the most of it. So the other day, I decided to go for a stroll and try to find the secret colorful place that not many can easily spot; the Neal`s yard...

Neal's Yard is a small alley in Covent Garden between Shorts Gardens and Monmouth Street which opens into a courtyard. It is named after the 17th century developer, Thomas Neale. It now contains several health food cafes and New Age retailers such as Neal's Yard Remedies, Neal's Yard Dairy, and World Food Cafe.
It is worth visiting...!

Good night guys, see you soon with new adventures!
Kiss Kiss,
Litsiana K.
