A Fashioneaster at "One New Change"/St. Paul`s Cathedral

Dear Diary,

It`s been a while since my last post. I wanted to type down my news like crazy but I was sick, then busy and then overwhelmed by a mixture of emotions...
The other day, I gave a day off to myself and went to a mall that I didn`t know its existence before. 'One New Change'is both the name of the Mall and the insisting thoughts in my head the last couple of weeks....
One New Change is a major office and retail development in London, United Kingdom. It`s the only large shopping centre in the City of London, the historic nucleus and modern financial centre of London. It cost £500 million to build and was completed in October 2010.
There, you can either catch the shops or see the sights, seven days a week. With great places to shop, eat and drink, all overlooking St. Paul's Cathedral,  it's the perfect place to visit. And if you're all shopped out, why not relax and take in the spectacular views of the London skyline from the breathtaking public roof terrace on the 6th floor? It`s definitely London's newest must see attraction.
For me, there was no need to lug around to the shops but there was an immediate need for fresh air and relaxation. I just didn`t want to find myself sitting at home in deep meditation but I was so eager to give vent to my pent-up my feelings by overlooking the iconic dome of St. Paul's Cathedral and the sights of my beloved city!

Happy Easter everyone!
Hope you had a really good time during your holidays and egg-citing Easter!
Summer is not that far, but please endeavour to take the most of every season, every day of your life, every place you are at, etc. Do not take anything for graded and be fortuned for what you`ve got!
Write to you soon!
Kiss Kiss,
Litsiana K.

Holland Park/Kyoto Gardens (part 1)

Dear Diary,

Do you remember what I told you last time? About dreaming of different places? Sample of such places does exist in London; so after Little Venice, how about hitting Japan? You know that I love parks and I feel so complete whilst I am surrounded by the beauties of nature! So, what`s a better place than a park? But not an ordinary park; a park with different gardens in so as to choose from and go for the best stroll ever.
The soft option I had was Kyoto gardens. Why?What makes the difference to such gardens? The answer is so simple: Japanese are the best at designing gardens.
Kyoto gardens can be found in Holland Park. Holland Park is considered one of the most romantic and peaceful parks of West London. The northern half or so of the park is semi-wild woodland, the central section around the ruins of Holland House is more formal with several garden areas, and the southernmost section is used for sport.
The park contains a famous orangery, a giant chess set, a cricket pitch, tennis courts, a Japanese garden / Kyoto Garden, a youth hostel, one of London's best equipped children's playgrounds, squirrels and (impressively for a London park) peacocks.
In this post (part 1),you can have a lil taste of the Japanese Garden cause some of the following up posts will be about the rest.

Getting back to nature is quite invigorating and I suggest that you all grasp the chance since it is well worth a visit once in a while!
It makes us more humans!
Till next time, keep it green,
Litsiana K.

Romance in Little Venice

Dear diary,

There is a quote by Samuel Johnson: "When a man is tired of London, he`s tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford."
Who is dreaming of London? Who is dreaming of Italy? Who is dreaming of different destinations? Mmmm, I thought so; so am I! Somewhere in London, it is well hidden so beautiful a place called "Little Venice".
It lies on the north of Paddington. This picturesque pool of water, where the Grand Union and Regent’s Canals meet, is home to a number of waterside cafes, pubs and eateries. From here you can take a boat trip or follow the tow path on foot and see how the winding waterway snakes its way through the heart of the city.

That day, the sun rose higher in a clear blue sky offering the absolute breathtaking view!
Romance emerged in Little Venice!
Kiss Kiss my little dreamers,
Litsiana K.
